Chicago cabs, meet 2011.

It can be as painful as pulling teeth to get Chicago cab drivers to take credit cards. And if they do, they get downright get sassy about it.

However, I’ve noticed that more and more cabs come with credit-card machines in the back seat.

What is this, 2011?

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to take a non-blurry pic in a moving cab.

Being adverse to carrying cash, I find this extremely encouraging.

Not only are there credit card machines in cabs, get this, TVs as well. Say whaaa?!? TVs with on-demand restaurant info, credit card instructions and reality-show clips.

Pretty soon, I’ll be riding around in cabs for the same reason I go to the gym on the weekends: to catch up on trashy TV.
